Today was quite a day! It was Field Day (in the States) times 50! En serio (seriously).
Each class had to come up with a class t-shirt and jersey (which my students designed) and then we had to get them made. They were absolutely amazing. You can see all of the students in their t-shirts. My fourth graders did a wonderful job. The boys play another 4th grade boy team and the girls play other 4th grade girls. My boys won, but my girls...well let's just say...they are truly girls.
"Can we wear skirts", "I just want to cheer", "Do we have to wear shorts?"
It was fun nonetheless. I wish I had taken a picture of all of it. The dunk tank, the food (including sushi), the games, the prizes. It was truly different than the pie throwing and homemade hotdogs that I'm used to. It was packed! Parents were in the stands cheering their children on, and all the student's were SO excited! I had a good time, even though I had to be at school at 8:00 on a Saturday morning!
Veran!
