Pulluahua Crater

One of the best things about going on field trips is the break from school and an opportunity to learn more.

One of the worst things about going on field trips is chaperoning 40 students and having them sing rock songs on the entire one hour trip!

We went to Pulluahua, which is an hour away, and it was absolutely beautiful.
This is one of only two craters that is still inhabited. The volcano is still active and it's amazing to see. It's really good in the morning and by the time, I really got to snapping....this is what it looked like.

It takes approximately 2 1/2 hours to hike up and out of the crater. I can only imagine what it's like for these people to go to grocery stores or anywhere else for that matter. We did a little hiking ourselves. When a few of the students couldn't go anymore...I of course was more than happy to escort them on the way down. It was muddy and tiring. That was only an hour walk...

We had such a good time! I guess field trips aren't that bad...the students seemed to have a blast!

There was even a museum that we didn't get a chance to visit, but it's a good thing we didn't. We barely made it back to school on time.

I change my mind...the best thing about a field trip is that it can last all day....
